Who We Help
Stress
Long-term stress can cause the body to wear down and chronic disease can start to take hold.
Stress is a natural physical response to life. It affects 100% of us. It is how the brain and body respond to the outside influences. We all deal with stress in one way or another. It can be anything from sitting in traffic to a traumatic event. Our body deal with it by putting out
When your body is responding to the stress it releases substances like adrenaline and cortisol. This puts you in the sympathetic, “fight or flight” mode, which can be life saving in threatening environments but when you are so overloaded that you can’t switch this off, your body pays the price. The parasympathetic nervous system, also known as “rest and digest” is turned off, imbalances begin. You can no longer relax, you can no longer digest and absorb nutrients in your food, dampens the immune system and causes a major influx of inflammation just to name a few.
